About AMP Certifications
The mission of the Association of Asset Management Professionals (AMP) is to create a new era for the practice of maintenance and reliability. In the context of asset management for organizations, AMP aims to enhance the delivery of the triple bottom line: economic prosperity, environmental sustainability and social responsibility.
AMP currently offers two certifications for reliability and asset management professionals. Both certifications align with the ISO/IEC 17024, which is the standard developed for the objective of achieving and promoting a globally accepted benchmark for organizations operating certification of person.
Certified Reliability Leader
The Certified Reliability Leader® (CRL) certification exam was created to validate the competencies of a professional in an organization who mastered the language, words, phrases, ideas, concepts and foundational knowledge required to engage and empower all stakeholders in an organization as a Reliability Leader®. It also validates those who exercise reliability leadership as natural self-expression.
The CRL launched in December 2013. Since then, there are CRLs across the globe in every industry, in every department, and in every position. The Uptime® Elements Reliability Framework and Asset Management System™ is the “common language” of the CRL.
Certified Maintenance Manager
The Certified Maintenance Manager™ (CMM) certification exam was created to validate the competencies of a maintenance leader. These include focusing on maintenance fundamentals, innovative reliability and management practices, and the knowledge required to optimize asset value through using strategies, processes, enablers and business needs of maintenance management.
The CMM launched in December 2019 and is the newest AMP certification. The Strategic Maintenance Management Series, with its foundation built on the Uptime Elements framework, is the core of CMM. LEARN MORE
