Motor directly mounted with blower shows vibration issues mainly at 50hz 1/3 octave. Checked everything rotor balancing, bearings, impeller balance. Motor is having proper mounting on a concrete bench as suggested by the vibration experts and using shock mounts on the bench then a intermediate plate and top of it is motor. we found more vibration on mount areas. Dear Experts, We have a squirrel cage inductance motor, 400V VFD, 220KW. The load is Roll which driven by Gear-box in Paper factory. We carried out MCSA and Vibration analysis for this motor. Sub synchronous peaks at gearbox of steam turbine

Dear All, Good day! We are experiencing high vibration problem at gearbox of 10 MW steam turbine (GE made) during start-up condition. Spectrum is showing sub-synchronous peaks (0.2 X, 0.4 X, 0.6X and 0.8 X) during start-up only which disappear when machine gains full speed. Amplitude of these peaks are up to 28 microns and is directly related to rpms of machine. Never seen anything like this before. Expert opinion is required please. Best Regards,

A vertical pump motor has high radial and axial 1X vibration peaks. After disconnection the motor from the pump vibration is similar with less amplitude. Sister another motor has vibration less than 1.0mm/s and I learnt that the customer is using 6226 bearing instead of original 7226 type bearing. Hello, Most vibration analysis software have bearing defect frequency markers build into them, where you select the bearing and the fault frequencies are automatically matched. I also see that many software have these defect frequencies in Hz and Not Orders. (Eg: SKF NU 216 Bearing have 2.75 Hz as FTF, 22.9 Hz as FTF Also). And it appears to be a constant. So is bearing defects not related to running speeds? (Eg. NU 216 Bearing can be running at different speeds in different machines).
