Metrix Set Point

vibramac ·
Anybody on the board used Metrix's Set Point Condition Monitoring Software. Would like to know actual applications and assessment of software and capabilities.

First time to know that vibration analysis software are developed (or displayed at least) on the famous PI platform. I've been using PI for years but on the overall vibration amplitude level only. http://www.metrixsetpoint.com/...uct/444/cms-overview Regards- Ali M. Al-Shurafa

I would say you either have a screw-type or a reciprocating (piston) type compressor but that may only be me. In either case difference on/off load can and normally are significant as far as I have seen. Olov

Screw compressor vibration on-load vs. off-load

What changes are normally expected in the vibration spectra of a screw-type compressor when it's on-load vs. off-load?

Sorry, I meant screw-type. I've made the correction. I wish to know what fault frequencies you normally find and how the amplitudes vary at the different frequencies, comparing off-load vs. on-load

Another Resonance Question

Mile High_PumpFE ·
Have another resonance question..... the is the AXIAL plane of a thrust end bearing housing. Please see the attached document that shows a vibration trend with 3 data collection points - please pay attention to the 2x peak as speed increases through the test point. You can see how it is moving closer to resonance. Also please notice the vane pass peak at 198.25 Hz as the pump increases in speed. There is a resonant like response at the highest speed (black line). If you look at that spectrum...

Just a thought. When you edit your route file, do you click the "update route" tab? Ralph

What version of MHM software are you running? My next guess is the use of the RBMWizard. Have you tried running the DBFix program to see if it tells you anything? Be careful using it, if you have never tried it before. It can lose a lot of data if you choose the wrong options after it finishes checking the database for errors. Something may be wrong in the way the "Wizard" program is handling the information it has created in some of the machines' configurations. Thanks and Have a Great Day,...
