Exporting AMS Suite 5.61 data to send to another user.
I am trying to extract a few machines from our databases to send to someone for review. I have done this before, but cannot remember how. It seems like the Database utility was what we used, but it has been years since I've done it. I'm not trying to move it from one of our databases to another. I am trying to extract a file or files that I can email or FTP to someone else who can import it into their AMS Suite and look at it. Not a whole database, just select machines. Can someone point me...

Perhaps Ralph Stewart will chime in on this question. Here is an old discussion: https://www.maintenance.org/to...8#450406105661969208 Make a new database and copy machine(s) into new database with all data. Walt

Hi Ralph, Thanks for the response. I am trying to analyse the data collected with CSI 2130 with Matlab. Which can be easier for pinpointing the problems within the spectra.

ODS - wire model move, problem visualization
I discovered that there are multiple approaches for creating an ODS moving "wire" model. ODS data for model can be collected easy as amplitude and phase angle on problematic frequency (1x). Second approach return few spectrums datas (FFT, Coherence,...

Re: ODS - wire model move, problem visualization
I used to take out the report and cut and paste amplitude/phase. Don´t over do it. You normally don´t need that many points for a basic structure if shape is a simple one. That is by the simple method with tacho reference and only looking at 1xRPM vectors at steady state operation that is. Keep track of sensor direction..... If you need the full modal analysis you may need the software tools to match. Olov

Re: Data export from AMS Suite Machinery Health Manager
I only remember someone dropping data from a vibration analysis program into like MatLab on a very rare occasion, usually if they were trying to do Modal analysis or some other advance technique. I wouldn't think that that would be productive for routine route based data. Granted AMS can be tough when starting out but it will do 98% of what you need, it just takes time to work with it.

Re: Data export from AMS Suite Machinery Health Manager
Ok. Not sure how automatic you need, but AMH has a program called "nspectr" for "analyzing" your data and making suggestions (when correctly configured by the user). Another program called "RBMview", basically for report writing (after it is initially setup the way the user wants/needs). All of which you may already be aware of. Just saying.
