What style would you recommend for a refrigeration/HVAC mechanic?

The largest span I would likely use it on would be 6' and the closest around 1'.

I have read all (that I could find) of the posts on this forum about laser alignment options and still don't really know what style to get.

The Alignment targets style seems like the most basic and the most widely available for sale used on eBay.

The reflective style is apparently an improvement over the targets but I can't really find the specs for the closest distance the sheaves can be together?

The in grove style is supposed to be the best style but what happens when the pulleys are worn? I also assume the double laser and receiver is superior to the single laser single receiver system. I see the belt hog claims 6" distance as the closest distance.

The new BAT tool seems pretty good but as with all outer pulley alignment tools different thickness comes into play.
