I do not advise using the rim-face measurement method, since I prefer the reverse-indicator method when using Dial Indicators.

I recommend plotting the measurements for either method, since it is real easy to make a mistake with the measurements or with entering the values into a spreadsheet or calculator.

Performing accurate shaft alignment requires a lot more than an "app" or spreadsheet!
