Base Firmware Not Found message on UltraSpec 8117

Hello,

We have an UltraSpec 8117 balancing and alignment system. Yesterday it gave error message "firmware not loaded" and we attempted installing firmware receive in disk. Forward was started to install and blue screen of appeared on the laptop (from which firmware was being installed). Now we are unable to install the firmware. It's giving me message "Base Firmware Not loaded". When we try to install the firmware from the disk by DOS file, it dive error message (on the DOS screen) "downloadable program header has been deleted ".

How can we make it work now?

Best Regards,

I am not familiar with that model analyzer, but I would try a Reset or unplug battery to try for a fresh start. Make sure your communications protocol is the same on analyzer and computer.

Thanks for the reply @Walt Strong, I've tried the battery method and font have any button for reset. May be there is some button combination method for resetting which I don't know. And conundrum protocols are same on both computer and analyzer since the downloading of the firmware in the analyzer had started which was then interrupted by blue screen. After that this new error message started showing up.

If your computer crashed, then do maintenance scans first. The procedure above is for CSI 2120 that is a similar age to your analyzer and may work, unless you are following your analyzer's manual.

I've followed the procedure in the manual and downloading had started which was then interrupted by computer crash. After this whole incident, message has changed from "firmware not loaded" to "Base Firmware Not loaded" and the software on computer give me message "downloadable program header has been deleted".

Now the analyzer is not responding to any computer download sequence and keep giving the message "Base Firmware Not loaded". Look like it's dead now
