Brass in hydraulic system fluid sample

This unit consist of flow dividers, valve banks, lift cylinders, piston pump and Staffa motor. Sample has extreme contamination of finely ground brass particles......System is working fine. Question where is the brass coming from?

So what your saying is that the system holds pressure and is working as designed!

If this is the case then I would be sourcing the machine details/ data sheets to see what components have been made from what materials etc.

I would also be setting up a filter cart to try and remove this contamination, with further Oil analysis also recommended.
