i am also looking for them
You need to let us know what level of expertise you already have but a very basic document can be found at https://www.theseus.fi/bitstre...nnes.pdf?sequence=1. Note, it may be slow to download and on the surface may seem to apply to Wartsila engines but a lot of good information. Some initial pages are in Norwegian but main content is in English.
Document are in Finish and partly Swedish to start as Wärtsilä is a Finish company and Finland is part Swedish speaking as Finland was a part of Sweden for a couple of hundred years back in history, only FYI. Interesting reading, I just got some data from 3 MHI diesels and we found magnetic particles in the oil from one that was suspect but not that serious indications in the vibrations yet.
I didn't read every word of the document, but there was no discussion of torsional vibrations. I consider TV to be essential for engine diagnostics.
True but for a startup control it is difficult to motivate installation of TV equipment unless a surface speed device can be found that is cost effective. Also this is from the factory of the larger Vasa motors, smaller that once was Nohab and made in Sweden should also have a guide somewhere that would be interesting but maybe not official like this. Those former Nohab design are the only diesels I have balanced and to my surprise it worked fine and was easy to do.
