Dear experts,

We are facing a problem in our customer site, the details are mentioned in the below attached file. Kindly do the need full as early as possible.

Hi Ramesh,

Your facing a problem in your customer, it means you are the OEM of the problem, so i guess your team should figure it out what the possibly cause.

your data seems to be insufficient, please include the time signal if you could do phase is much better, also do motor solo run to eliminate that the problem is in the motor,. in my history of experience, i experience this humming sound when something is loose and air gap, please check the integrity of electrical connections.

regards,

RG

Dear Ramesh,

We also had same problem in our HT motors. We checked for looseness between bearing and housing and clearances were found increased. After maintenance motor is running normal.

Your spectrum seems of looseness but some time waveform is also required for confirmation.

Rohit

Yes the spectrum indicting bearing looseness but the we are trying to figure the reason for humming sound.

here I am attaching the time signals for your reference.

Hi ramesh,

As per your given spectrum, i suspect a bearing loose in rhe housing, i bet the abnormal sound you hear is due to air gap of rotor and stator, have you done phase analysis on the motor footings for any findings of looseness and soft foot, i guess two footings are uneven. Also, you could do phase on motor end plate itself to see if the bearing is cocked,. I prefer you to inspect the bearing and correct the looseness.

Your given  TWF is not helpful w/o any markings, it is useless to give some TwF w/out any pointing is the signal.

Regards,

The motor NDE bearing in axial direction has waveform with about 10-g peaks spaced about 0.02 seconds or 50-Hz that match shaft speed. This impacting is producing multiples (harmonics) of shaft speed in spectrum (FFT). I would look for a loose bearing or coupling fit. A rotor rub is another possibility.
