I did a search using the forum search engine and it does state your last post was April 24th and that was the β€œStrange FFT” topic.  Are you sure you’ve done something since then?

In addition Walt, Ramadan runs from April 12th through May 12th so we aren't seeing some of our normal traffic.

John,

I have not posted anything since April 24th. I was just wondering if I was not able to see any "new" posts or replies that HAVE been posted since April 24.

I am guessing, there have not been any since mine on the 24th, huh?

John,   What is the "Ramadan..........."?

BTW! How did this, "Thanks and Have a Great Day, Ralph Senior Analyst and Instructor @ Alert Analytical http://www.alertanalytical.com", get attached to my question?

Thanks,

Ralph

Ramadan is the most sacred month of the year in Islamic culture.  You can read more about it at https://www.abc4.com/news/digi...cts-you-should-know/

As far as your signature, "Thanks and Have a Great Day", I believe that is part of your profile settings which are accessed at the top right corner (float your cursor over your name).  You can modify it by modifying your profile, a multi step where you open your profile and indicate you want to change it.  You then have to respond to a confirming email.

I believe, although I'm not certain that the "signature" is only placed on a thread you initiate, not responses to a thread started by someone else.  I looked at something you started back in 2010 and the signature is present.  It was a topic titled What will cause a 60 Hz "Leakage" in a VFD Controller.  See https://www.maintenance.org/to...-in-a-vfd-controller

Thanks John.

I guess I have not started a thread since 2010, huh? WOW! How time flies!

Thanks and Have a Great and Safe Day,

Ralph

I did not mean to infer that you haven’t started a thread since 2010, just that threads you start have the notation at the bottom.  For instance you started a thread on units for orbits in January 2016, and it shows the notation at the bottom.  See https://www.maintenance.org/to...splay-of-orbit-plots

John you are speaking of the month of Ramadan.  The name Ramadan is one of God's names in Islam.

Bill, I am well aware of that information.  I chose to mention Ramadan as being the period (this particular year) from April 12th through May 12th and in light of that we aren't seeing some of our normal traffic in this forum.  I also provided a link for Walt to learn more about Ramadan in light of his response, "John,   What is the "Ramadan..........."?."

John, for some it makes a difference whether you speak of the month of Ramadan or a name of God (I have heard different views about this name.).  Some might take offense - NOT ME.
It was mentioned in a meeting today that it could be overcast (or a dust storm) at the end of the month of Ramadan.  In some countries it takes a reliable source to see the moon to declare the month is over or has started.

I am not sure how one can see the moon before astronomy says one should be able to but, I have experienced this, too.  I took my oldest son to a soccer game on what should have bee the day before the start of the month of Ramadan, but to our surprise the fast had started because someone had seen the moon.
