hey Guys,

We inherited 2 cases of Trugrease CC2, has anyone used this product? How does it hold up as a general bearing grease for forklifts, cranes, saws, etc?

it is advertised as a high temperature grease with very good anticorrosion properties under high temperature operation. the manufacturer is reluctant to give details as regards composition, from the high dropping point (300 deg C) it may be derived that the grease thickener used is no standard metal soap.

it is quite different from a standard HD mulipurpose grease as used for the applications mentioned. maybe it can be used, but i certainly would not use it in applications where long term mixing of the two greases is possible nor in applications where long feed lines in combination with a centralised grease system are involved.
