What do I want out of my oil program should be the first question, this will drive what tests will need to be done, which will tell you which equipment is needed to get end result

What about software/reporting/testing, how do they fit in your decision? Stand alone, network? Able to integrate other technologies in same software? Wear debris analysis? 

Emerson Process has been doing oil testing for a long time, and there are numerous independent labs that offer excellent services and reporting, depends if you need the testing at site level or can it come in form of a report

Most importantly we need a simple testing device that is portable and easily used by any technician. 

I have done some research and I think most important parameters are viscosity, TAN, TBN, water content and oxidization. 

but do I really need all these in a purpose of go no go analyzer?

so finally I have com across PALL 500 which I think it is the most suitable analyzer.

Spectro has spread their measures over multi devices. it would be the best if they compile it in one device. 

so any input of what are you using will be very helpful.

I partnered with an oil lab to provide my testing services. CSI Emerson was a good solution for a long time, but they got out of the oil lab game, it integrated well with their software. Now I get a txt file with the test results from oil lab and import into AMS software, due the reason you are looking for test equipment.

Maybe you develop an in field go/no go test with one device, once that fails additional tests would be required?

The equipment you wish to purchase depends on what you want to trend, to the best of my knowledge their is not just one piece of equipment that can get the results you are wanting
